SPPS Data Headlines - Great News!

From the Co-heads:

Recently a document was released which compared our end of Y6 outcomes for the academic year 23/24 with other schools nationally. Pupils in Y6 are tested in reading, maths and grammar. These tests are better known as SATS tests, Writing is assessed by the teacher, but in our case, our assessments were also moderated by the local authority to ensure they were accurate. Whilst we will always maintain that we are not a data-driven school, and feel the development of the whole child is more important than just academic success, we also want to ensure pupils are secondary ready. The data is a snapshot of the school’s overall performance and measures outcomes, but is not necessarily reflective of the progress of individuals. We thought we would share the data comparison with you as we feel it bears testament to the huge amount of hard work throughout the school to improve outcomes for pupils.

A letter with further details is also attached for your information.
